52-year-old Ige Aruya has been sentenced to six years in prison for defrauding Nollywood actress Tamara Eteimo of her hard earned money. Aruya posed as a landlord and defrauded the actress who was seeking an accommodation of the sum of N820, 200. A Tinubu Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, presided over by Mrs Kikelomo Ayeye, sentenced Aruya after finding him guilty of a two charges of conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretenses. Ayeye said that all the evidence before the court showed without doubt that Aruya was guilty of the charges and sentenced Aruya to prison with hard labour and without an option of a fine.
