Ronaldo reveals the highest point in his professional career

CR7 admitted that winning Real Madrid’s 11th Champions League and Portugal’s maiden European Championship success at the just concluded Euro 2016 in France is an unforgettable experience.

Ronaldo told UEFA’s official media: “[Last season] it was one of the best in my career, arguably the best if measured by trophies won,” “We struggled early on but coach Zinedine Zidane’s arrival was key to revitalise the squad. “The Portuguese star, who suffered a knee injury in the Euro 2016 final that has prevented him from helping Los Blancos in their initial matches of the current season, is aiming to tie Lionel Messi with the most UEFA accolades since the inception of the prize in 2011.

“It’s a privilege for me to compete against Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann for this award. “I’m honoured to be the only player that has been among the three finalists every single year. “Winning the award would be a big deal for me, although I prefer winning collective titles [with Madrid and Portugal].”

The 31-year-old won two major trophies for club and country scoring 15 goals in Real Madrid’s Champions League success and captained the Selecao to a remarkable Euro 2016 triumph.
